I only use it as a wifi phone. On it now, loves it.
I've been using this phone for a year, dropped it countless times and it still looks like new and runs just fine. It's a great smartphone, if you don't use apps/need a phone for pics it's really no different than those $800 smartphones.
Actually it has 8gb but you only had 3gb available because the os has used some space and the preinstalled apps used a lot of space too
i took that phone and destroyed that crapy phone
My alcatel is from cricket and is more expensive and probably better mine is an Alcatel streak
what if you uninstall the blow ware. That might clear some memory.

Just got one for my grandma yesterday. Cost only $20 @ Best Buy. It's actually not that bad of a phone if you aren't a heavy user. It's pretty snappy too and light as a feather.

just purchased the alcotel do not like. the phone will mute while i am talking .i cant find out how or why it mutes or how to un mute while talking.

*You forgot to mention this phone is inde-fucking-structable* I've had it for over a year and it has a very, very slick back. When it get's hot out be prepared to drop it once or twice, but don't worry, it can take a beating like a champ. Like an old Nokia phone lol.

The "up to 128 GB" MicroSD limit isn't real. It works fine with my 200 GB card. Of course it doesn't perform like a high end phone, and it's missing a lot like a compass, NFC, or a camera that isn't a potato, but I'm beyond impressed with how it's been performing so far. I ran Antutu and it scored 21206.
