Su Amigo Alex, You did a great job on the review. It's important to call out Best Buy for describing this phone as unlocked when it can't be unlocked. Please don't take my negativity toward the phone and AT&T as negativity toward your review. You did an excellent job.
The RADIANT Core ATT sent me "Free" is also marked as model U304AA. It's not a dual core CPU but it's still junk. It does only have one GB of RAM but by AIDA64's information, it has a quad core CPU. CPU is MediaTek MT6739WW (4x ARM Cortex-A53 at 1.495 MHz). The CPU can use a 64bit instruction set but it's running in 32bit mode. All 4 cores do show up as being there and their currents speeds are monitored in AIDA64. Screen resolution is 480 x 960. These are horribly low specs for any modern smartphone. It has a warning to only use the included adapter for charging. The included adapter is 5v at 1AMP (5 WATTS) If you are actually going to use one of these phones, I would adhere to the warning and only use a 5 WATT slow charger. I plugged it into a 20 WATT charger and it got very hot in minutes. Even if you could unlock it for use with the carrier of your choice, it's not worth activation. I didn't want it sent as "Free" and it's not worth $39.99 by any stretch of the imagination. It's only decent feature is an easily replaceable battery. This is a feature I would like to see return on new high end phones. Sadly this feature is wasted on this phone as the original battery will most likely outlast the phone.
It's total junk. They sent me one "Free" because they were going to shut down 2 phones on my current plan. They kept telling me the two phones are 3G and would no longer be supported after Feb. 22. My two phones they were shutting down are both 4G, premium unlocked International phones. Not sure what their scam angle is here but I an sure it's a scam. Perhaps they thought I would commit to something to get a better phone through them. I will NEVER get any phone from any carrier for any reason. I'd rather pay more and pay in full up front than get roped into some terms with them. All carrier sold phones come with trash apps that can't be uninstalled. Any phone I ever buy will be unlocked by the manufacturer and have no association with any service provider. If you want a new premium phone now but can't afford to buy, it's actually better to buy with credit than do any term deal with any service provider. The simple solution was for me porting all numbers to T-Mobile and cancel service with AT&T. T-Mobile looked up the phones AT&T claimed would stop working and said they were certainly 4G and should be supported for years to come. AT&T makes a habit of phucking their customers. I have been a loyal AT&T customer for over 15 years. Apparently I was eligible for their "Royal Phucking" plan. No more AT&T service of any kind for me. They sent my RADIANT Core "Free". I didn't buy it and legally, I don't have to send it back or pay for it. Unfortunately, even if it was unlocked it is not worth activating. I'll most likely give it to someone with WiFi that can let their child use it as a toy. I would be willing to return it at AT&T's expense if I had not asked them multiple times to not send their "Free" phones to me.
AT&T is sending these out for free for anyone that is still on the shuttered network.

Its not great for sure. Slow but can deal with it. Don't like the video quality and thats what i dont like the most. All in all i paid $40 and im not disapointed. Wanted a cheap smartphone to get me by till i have money to get a nicer phone and got what i paid for. Thanks 4 detailed review.

I bought this phone for the goofs and gaffs, and let me tell yah, this phone sux! What a waste of 65$
It's touchscreen is kind of slow response for games and it doesn't allow a lot of apps to be downloaded off of the play store. Also, no matter what the settings are, anytime I restart the phone it resets the home screen so that I can't access the apps I put on there expect from the menu! I've used Alcatel, ZTE and LG AT&T prepaid phones and this is the 2nd worst one...Alcatel is super slow all around and this one is close to it! For $39.99 LG & ZTE are definitely the ones to go for because they are fast, good resolution, decent storage and don't wipe out the home screen every time you turn off the phone! Please make an update for this phone because otherwise it belongs in anyone's dumpster!
Sorry to indicate a little too much being cute. I had trouble finding out how to answer and then end a basic call. And - until found could somewhat increase size of keyboard image - it was so sensitive could not input text w/out ending up with gibberish. Guess much of these issues really my unfamiliarity. thnx again for the video.
I take your point - evidently that the specs and even perhaps performance in this budget phone - are shall we say -wanting. Thing is - for someone just getting into 'smart' end of phoning - the makeup of capabilities as compared to just a phone phone -are daunting and new. Would be like a first time car buyer getting hung up on interior of engine specs, final drive ratio,etc. As a newbie (at my age) to smarts - would venture to use word 'clunky' with many of basic functions not falling readily to hand. And compession ratio of framis....thnk u for video. Barry

I used it and honestly i don't like it, it's so slow and it drives me nuts, it's good if you only use it for calls and messages but if you want a cheap phone buy an old iPhone

I'VE HAD THIS PHONE ALMOST FOR 2 YEARS. it's time to replace its battery and wasn't sure about the model to work on it, I love to stay on youtube all day, and the charge lasts at much for 3 hours. At first, I choose it because looked very strong and a capable device, but actually, in front of the new one cells, this is like a black and white TV in front of the 95" plasma display hahaha. i've gotten it sent to me for free just a few days ago now, can't say im that big of a fan using it the few days i've had it before i got to activate it fully. the touch screen sucks, which is tough since i draw digitally and its a lot slower compared to my old blu g8 which has worked well for a good 3 ( was-going-to-be) 4 years i've had it, its a shame :( , luckily for me i'm not a streamer or anything like that so i guess i cant really judge on the camera quality, but it does remind me of the phones my parents had when i was a lot younger lol,, ill give it a few years since i dont want to seem unnapreciative,, a new free phone? loovellyyy,,

Got this crap phone for free since my $800 Galaxy won't work on 5G. Figure I'll use it until I save and cave to spend another fist full of money for a much better phone. This video is helpful.

AT&T is sending me this for free to replace my flip phone cause they’re shutting down their 3g. I’ll guess we will see. I just use my phone for simply things like calls and text. I hope it can do that. I definitely will use the camera. I’m assuming it will be better than my flip camera.

This is the "free replacement" phone AT&T is sticking people with when they kill their 3G service in February. It's a major downgrade from the phones we have. Maybe it's time to get off AT&T....

I'm currently on the 60 dollar monthly plan. At&t offers me the 40 dollar monthly plan (supposedly new) being that I've been a long loyal customer. Should i stick with the plan I'm with? What's the difference out of the 60 dollar and 40 dollar monthly plan?
This plan don't exist no more the unlimited plus SMH is crazy cause you gotta pay 75 plus tax for similar plan

AT&T has a deal going on with the annual prepaid. Double the data for the same price.
Have had ATT for a few years. Not a fan. Signal is normally 2 bars max wherever I am. And they keep advertising "The same price for everyone" yet when I called to get the $300 for a full year special they said "you have to be new or willing to change your phone number". It does not say it in the disclaimers. Will be dumping them by years end.

Prepaid is inferior to postpaid. AT&T in particular has a very archaic and glitchy system.
I'm staying with Att or cricket wireless can somebody tell me if the att 15gb premium data plan good cuz I live in Chicago IL and att is very fast and great service
Had them back in 2007-2008-2009 and 2010 just went back to them not to long ago the $30 dollar a month plan work's for me if ur on wifi most the time I only use my data for my gps or map's when needed
