I used to think Blu was the king of budget smartphones but this seems a little disappointing for the price, especially compared to other Chinese companies such as the recent phones you've reviewed from Umidigi and even offerings from Samsung with their A series. This phone seems pretty lacking.

Never heard of that processor before either, but if it delivers great performance and good battery life, then it's a winner in my book.

It's just a Blu G8 given a new model number. If you compare the specs and design, their identical. So, you're better off with the G9, for the same price. Better processor and 4gb ram and better screen and cameras.
