I bought one through EBAY. It was a piece of crap. Returned it and eventually got my money back. It kept shutting off and I had a hell of a time getting it back on. Finally couldn't. I plugged it in and the battery overheated, plus it wouldn't update. I bought this one because a friend had a used one from another guy who has been using them for awhile. I reordered this time from the original store. Hopefully this time's a charm

Also. Don't know if you are aware. But most new flagship phones come ip68. So you are just buying old hardware in a new plastic n metal case. Not to mention the worst possible camera you will ever find in 2022 gets installed in these giant turds.
Hate to break the news. But no one is buying these. One out of 100 people will buy one. They always put old outdated processors in these ( tough phones). So soon as you buy them you are two years in the past with features.

I don't think this is a 5G phone since it comes with the Mediatek Helio G96 processor which is known for gaming.
Well, this is not a 5G device - Doogee S98 and I think it does a wonderful job with its Helio G96 4G chipset as well.
The helio chipset will be good for gaming plus this phone is amazingly rugged!

numerous reviewers use it perfectly effective on Verizon so I ordered it and sure enough indeed it works great ! Also LOVE the multi functional rear display. Also you didnt touch on the infra red night vision camera and video feature. Handles games flawlessly as well...

One year I got my wife a doogee s60 phone, I watch some videos on youtube and the reviewer was driveing framing nails into a 2x4 with the screen side. we havent tried that with hers.(you should check out some of the reviews on that one) its pretty darn close to indestructible. I would like to see if this phone can take a test like that one did.

I'm guessing with the cameras it's using less than prime chips and lenses, which combined doesn't help the image quality. Not really a bad phone for the money, especially if one were to use it on a job site or in more rugged conditions where it would be very adequate.
Not a bad phone sounds like it would be worth trying I go thru quite a bit of phone due to dropping or sitting on them my step son does also IL definitely consider this fir my next phone
I've had a DooGee S58Pro for the last 12 months as I needed a rugged waterproof work phone. It's a little slow but it works perfectly, the one custom button is great as I use a specific app for work. The night vision camera is an interesting aspect of it but no one seems to have made a video of that feature as I guess it's tricky showing what a human can see then what phone can see. Nice review, thanks.
I'm almost wondering if it's better to get an older phone with a better camera and slap on one of those hard cases over this one. but it is nice that's all in one though.this video came out of perfect timing I was looking for a social media phone and I do a lot of outdoorsy stuff. might make this my DJI phone

That is cool that you are doing a smartphone review, switching it up a little bit! It is nice when phones come with screen protectors installed as well as an extra replacement, very nice. The 6.3" display is pretty big but the overall aluminum frame and construction looks pretty durable. 8GBs of ram and 256GBs of storage is always great especially in this price category. I like when phones have the included wide angle and night sensors, always great to have. The clock display on the back is awesome, cool little additional feature! 6000mAh definitely is a large battery! Thanks for your take and review on this phone 😁. Definitely has a more targeted audience but overall seems to perform pretty well for the price! Thanks again and nice video!
