The battery is the only real problem
October 2022 I'm using the pixel and this phone is great. My old Samsung s8 broke and I needed something cheap so I went for a used pixel 2. Tbh I will probably be buying a pixel as my next phone, this phone works very well almost 2023
And here comes the question: do you know how many phones do you have right now?😁
so what is the currently supported android version?
It is a good phone in 2022, if we don't talk about those bessels
Dunno about the advice that the end here: Rather get a Pixel 4a than a Pixel 2? Have you checked their prices recently? That is like day and night. 150€ vs 450€.
Bought this for $150 second hand nine months ago. The camera and the not too dated clean android version were selling points for me. No battery issues or screen burn in on my personal phone. But you hit it on the nail when you said that the bezels were quite big even at launch. No regrets though, 🙂.
Which camera is best pixel 2 or pixel 3a
Well
I just bought it redurbished. Looks like new. I bought it out of curiousity and i wanted to have a cheap but reliable phone at home, just in case my S22 ultra gets broken.
This is not worth your money and time. You can''t save your contact on your sim card, there's no music player, there's no voice recorder, you have to download that from the app store and they'll steal your information 100%. You can't also use analog usb ports (like the rest of the world) google specifically want you to buy their overpriced garbage. Avoid like the plague.
I own them, (pixel 2, & pixel 2 XL) Love 'em both!
Pixel 2 no longer supported by Android Auto.
Pixel 2 no longer able to transfer files via usb c to PC.
Just like every phone, the manufacturers disable simple functions to encourage people to buy into newer phones when there is ZERO wrong with older models. Every cell phone is a wasted investment when there is zero protection for customers.
The 2 was my favorite phone ever. I have the 3 but it's a bjt sluggish compared to the 2. Maybe related to Android OS. Seriously on the fence to get another 3 next or the 2 again. The only knock on all these pixels are the ridiculously dim displays. You're like 3/4 bright to make it readable.
Negative things Pixel 2 in 2022:
- performance is not that great
- speakers are REALLY bad
- microphone is quite and bad
- battery life is below average since it's not optimized with latest software
(When it came out it gave 8h of battery.life)
Basically I do not buying this phone to anyone as video stated. The comments here are lying.
I had a newer Pixel for a while, but the hideous Android 12 mess forced me back onto the Pixel 2, which I still LOVE!
I'm buying it recently for almost $110 in Philippines (refurbished) because it's a steal for almost 4 year flagship phone.
I have one that I have replaced twice, and reconsidering because it may be able to connect with my new hearing aids.
Theres no headphone port, u have to get an adapter that plugs in the charger port so u can charge and listen to headphones. Fuck were they thinking??
Bought a Pixel 2 recently as a backup phone until my S21 Ultra is returned and I don't think you'll find a better and faster spec phone in 2022 for the price.
I paid £80 for mine boxed with all original accessories and because of the smaller screen and and optimised software, the device is lightning fast. Day to day usage there's zero difference between my S21 Ultra and my Pixel 2 with things like loading apps, most games, streaming media, social apps etc. Camera is also still amazing.
Only issue is no security updates anymore but that can be resolved with custom ROMs but even without new patches you won't find a faster device for the price in 2022 imo.
Watching on a Pixel 2 I use as a backup phone. No complaints. Really cool device, and I love the small size, especially compared to my daily driver Samsung Note 10.
Watching this review on my Pixel 7 😎
Here I am watching this on a Pixel 7 and loving it
Its not worth using pixel 2 in 2022 if you want to use retro tech I have it and the camera isn't great don't know why people still say it holds up til this day it's also laggy with everything fully updated. Pixel 4 and above are the ones to use for 2022 and beyond if you like older gadgets.
idk why i'm deciding to watch a pixel 2 review on a pixel 7
This was the pinnacle of a review a phone can get, I still think it is. Although I was watching Marques from a really long time but this was the video that made me realise how good this guy is in this industry.
Are all these features on the Pixel 2 XL?
Watching this in 2022 and owning a Pixel 7; I feel like this is a phone I could pick up today and it would do almost everything I'd want from it. I don't know if that means smartphone tech has stagnated or if phones like the pixel and iphone just got it so right years ago and there's not much left to do. There was a time, in terms of home computers, that if you tried to use one that was 5 years older than what you had, it'd be basically impossible. The Intel Pentium replaced the 486 in less time.
I had a Pixel 2XL for about a year, and while I loved the software, I hated the screen quality. I noticed the color shift at even the slightest off-angle viewing. It actually turned me off to Pixel phones until I decided to jump on the 7, and I'm glad I did.
pixel 7 is out now and i'm still watching a man reviews a pixel 2
About to get my Pixel 7 Pro arrive tomorrow and I'm watching Marques review the Pixel 2 XD
Pixel 7 and it's Pro are out and I'm still watching a review from Pixel 2 and it's XL!
It is SO funny, so interesting to see that we loved phones that weren‘t that advanced as they are now
They were great at their time - why aren‘t they today?
Pixel 7 is one month from release and I’m watching a video on the pixel 2.
Pixel 6 is out too
Pixel 6 pro has come out and am still watching pixel 2 review
I miss this phone. It was the closest thing to get me out of the Apple ecosystem. Sadly, nothing has done the job since.
which is the best?
Now in 2022 we have the Pixel 6 6pro and 6a
It is stressing me out that they are almost the same size 😂

Is this pixel 2 or 3 or 2xl🙄 seriously 🤔
Legend noticed yellow flash⚡
2023
Would love to see this form factor return with modern internal hardware.
🙂👍
Mark...I've had mine for almost 5 years now! It has been the best phone I've ever owned. The worst one was the Palm Pre...even my old 2004/5 Samsung flip phone was a lot better (more durable and reliable).
I bought the Pixel 2 new for $900, in Canada. It has been a rock-solid phone. Unfortunately, recently it fell into a lake. It was about 4 feet down and among weeds. It was hard to find...but I retrieved it after several minutes. I couldn't believe when I pulled it out that it was still running and with no screen glitching. Obviously the waterproofing held up, better than I would have suspected! I still ended up turning it off (maybe I shouldn't have). However, now there is moisture trapped in both cameras so I think I have to open it up and to get all the moisture out. A few days later, I still haven't turned it back on out of fear I might mess something up if there is water in a critical component(s) and causes an issue. On the other hand everything is backed up so I might just cave and get a Pixel 5 or 6. Great video...love your content!! Keep it up!!
Side note - I've seen comments regarding poor batter life. Perhaps version 10 is the culprit...my fiancé has a Pixel 2 and after upgrading to Anroid 10, the battery life went downhill shortly there after. I prevented mine from updating and manually update all my apps (and avoid battery draining apps like FB Messenger). Mine is still running version 9 and my battery life is a lot better than her phone. Sometimes, her phone abruptly shuts with around 30% life left. I almost think the upgrade was done purposely (shady business practice which Apple ended up in a class action lawsuit) in this manner in order to push people to buy a newer model.

Ordered one today, for about 100 USD
2022
What I like about this phone is that it is that even after three years Google provides regular updates.
Isn't it possible to buy an oleophobic coating kit and reapply, or one could simply use a treated screen protector.
Sent from my Motorola Edge S! ☝🏻👍🏻🙂✝️🇵🇸❤️
I'm planning to buy this because of its small form factor and decent performance, phones now are ridiculously getting bigger, and with me only playing a single game then this is a good one on my needs.
Bro You gotta stop using gel on you hair
2022 im still using my pixel 2XL :)
Pixel 2 aesthetic brings me to HTC One series design(it was co-developed with Google).
Nice
does this applies in 2022 too?
Love my Pixel 2 trying to find reasons to upgrade but only really have two real issues, one is battery life as you stated but unfortunately I also found since upgrade to Android 11 it often crashes taking pictures which you did not mention. It is something to do with memory I am led to believe, so if you close all open tabs ensure you have plenty of battery and shutdown Bluetooth and WiFi !! you can minimise the crashes. Did you experience the same?
I got 2 PX2s now they still run well.
I'm gonna buy one today
Please Review The Idol 4 by Alcatel. I have 2 Pixel 2 phones but still prefer my idol 4 as my daily. The sound is the best I've heard on a phone so its perfect for my YouTube watching time.
Thanks
Man, this took way longer than expected to finish uploading. Anyway, what are your thoughts on the pixel 2? Do you own one, or have owned one?
Yo man, nice video. I’m using iPhone 6s since 2,5 years and it’s still good for me but it has one con. Horrbile battery life. I want to go back to android and Pixel 2 caught my eye, here in Poland it’s really hard to buy them but brand new 128gb is 280 USD. I know its and pretty expensive but is it worth to buy it? I don’t care about the outdated design. Battery should be okay as its brand new. I also know that it wont get new Android. On the used market its a bit cheaper but I don’t want to buy used phone with no warranty. Lol that comment is so long. Cheers!
Can we make it alexa hands free by downloading Alexa?
The video on this cannot be any worse than the video on my S21. It was really pixelly and nasty
i got a pixel 2 for $66 hahahaa
Hi what is the name of the game what you were playing the second one with a car ?
Got mine for 40 bucks 3 years ago and I'm still using it. Got it blacklisted and cracked but still going strong 🙏🏿
Lol using mine right now. It's absolutely amazing...I even like it better than my 5
I got one a few weeks ago from ebay and I only paid $70 bucks!
These are the real reviews that need millions of likes ! But I understand such review do not push consumerism as heavy as the new glittery products ! Lineage OS will support it for the next 5 years ! Get the XL for battery performance !
Just same 5 inch screen like samsung j3 2016 but google pixel 2 is oled.
Do you know how much your particular battery had degraded at the time of testing?
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤️
Just bought one to have as a backup phone. Waiting for it to arrive
Man, I looove my Pixel 2 XL. But yeah, the battery is really it's achilles heel. My problem now: I am not really feeling the 6 Pro and also can't justify the iPhone 13 Pro Max...
wowowowoow
Subbed 🤗
Just got one and they are only $98 at Walmart. Love it but yeah the battery could be better but it's just as good as the Samsung s21 besides the camera quality
software updates? install Pixel Experience ROM and you'll be good to go
Can you please say how much you get in screen on time for single charge?
