Hey! There's often another issue overlooked by reviewers. It is its 5G and 4G connectivity. Google has actually artificially blocked the phone from connecting 5G networks abroad, in countries they say they don't support. We know this because a simple root and module/patch actually allows the phone to connect to all 5G networks globally. Its not a big deal if you do not do much travelling, but if you travel a lot and do a lot of sim swapping, it becomes extremely problematic. All pixel phones have an artificial block like this.
I traded in my 6 for the 7. I got my unlocked 7 directly from Google for $40.

I'm finding the front camera to be extremely unpredictable and lighting needs to be pretty much perfect. In one photo my face looks pixelated, in another my skin and features look blurred out like it has a filter (it doesn't. The raw photo looks exactly the same) and in another every pore and spot is exaggerated 10 fold and my skin looks textured and grainy. I know my skin isn't perfect but it doesn't look like that.

People have been complaining about the video conferencing quality of their google phones for years. Poor quality of Video calls on the Pixel 7 as well. It's very grainy and choppy. Especially on Google Duo which is Google's own video calling app. Its same problem for WhatsApp and Zoom. This is not mentioned in any of the reviews. Please let’s make it appear. I don't think your reviews are objective.

Why not use a pixel experience ROM on a oneplus or a Samsung? Get the pixel features like call screening and hold for me without buying a pixel.

Here is my running list on what Pixel 7 Pro (or rather newest line up and newest OS does NOT have: 1. After taking a picture, quick view requires you to have Google Photos installed/enabled (even if you have Google Gallery or other 3rd party gallery installed). 2. No "double tap" to turn off the screen 3. Traking screenshot is either hardware buttons, or task manager and clicking "screenshot" option there (why not gesture Google?) 4. Adjusting the size of the font and size of the icons are applied across home screen, app drawer and settings menu (weird) 5. "NAILED" to the home screen is calendar in the odd upper left area... cannot be removed... DUMB 6. "NAILED" to the home screen is google search bar - even if you are not using it, nope, gotta stay there... DUMB 7. Task manager does not have immediate "Close All" upon opening it... you have to swipe all the way to the left to get to it 8. Multiple icons in a folder on home screen look crowded, rather vertically positioned, not horizontally 9. Wi-Fi switch requires to bring down notifications, click Internet then get to on/off switch... why change this from what it was before? 10. Finger print reader is positioned little bit too high considering the size of the phone (specifically 7 Pro version) 11. Brightness slider (within notifications menu down) is rapidly blinking if you move it to adjust brightness manually 12. Fast charging is really no fast charging: marketed as 30W charger, is actually 23W and 0-100% charging time is 1hr and 52mins... (slower than a Hummer EV ona fast charger btw... 13. Smart Unlock only works with trusted devices (paired BT devices, etc.) and smart places (home address but approximated - within 125 meters range (or ~400ft) around your house. It does not offer trusted networks (once connected to WiFi, then allowing it) - why not Google?? 14. No hardware slider switch for mute-vibrate-ring selection 15. No option to put camera for a quick access on the lock screen of the phone. 16. Keyboard does not stretch all the way to the sides, causing typos all over the place - slightly curved edges serve no purpose. 17. Camera quality does not justify such big rear camera bar that is sticking out... not designed the way it could be designed. 18. When watching Youtube, sound is not properly equalizied - bottom of the screen speaker is noticeably louder. 19. PIN code is asked for too often after I use my fingerprint to unlock the phone - no option to adjust this, or turn it off. 20. PIN code requires you to click "ENTER" arrow after typing it on the screen. 21. When you open app, clicking back (to home screen) shows a quick blink of the app icon across the half of the screen on the phone... I have sadly hoped Pixel 7 Pro was going to be it... but unfortunately it spend just a few days in my posession and was returned for a refund... they still have work to do...
I traded in my Pixel 6 because of the great sale for Black Friday, got 80 percent of what I paid for the 6 and 7 Pro was on sale for 749 so got it for 270 bucks, pretty sweet

The Google Pixel 7 Pro is a terrible phone! It over-sharpens and over-processes my photos! I'm a brown-skinned woman, and it makes my face look extra dark in selfies. There is no way to switch off the in-built photo processing feature. As a result, I'm using an external app camera, which defeats the purpose of buying this phone!

7 pro arrive yesterday I'm at work already and I noticed 5G UC everywhere the I didn't have on my pixel 6 Battery is not even 24 hours so definitely is going down... until it gets used to my usage

Not impressed with the battery life and adaptive battery never seems to do anything for me anyways. Great video. No one ever seems to do battery tests on mobile data which is what I care about most so thanks for that. This video has helped me decide to skip the Pixel 7 Pro. I'll stick to my Pixel 5 and hope Google can do better next year.

Now that's not bad going really I've currently got the s22 ultra, but being in the UK its the exynos version. I probably use it like you in this video with quite a bit of youtube, music stream and social media. If I get more than 4 hours SOT I'm lucky!!! Comes off charge at 7am and by 8pm its wanting a boost charge till bed. Tried all the tips and tricks reset twice and still poor performance. I've now ordered the p7 pro I hopes to get that battery life I need as the tensor g2 chip is worldwide, unlike scamsung who shaft Europe with their exynos chips year after year. Liking your content keep up the good work 👍
