Looking for a new phone at the moment and nothing really excites me anymore, I had this phone before my current S20+ 5G (Had to turn it off and on to remember which one it was and also my battery life is so shit that I never get to use 5g because battery saver disables it) and I came back to this review because this phone was infinitely better than anything still now... the battery life and the camera was better than any new phone, I don't care what anyone says, for daily, norm... use it is the fucking don.
I've had this phone since it was released, and I'm still using it. In fact, I don't really want to leave it. I've tried using phones released in 2022, and I'm always shocked at how my P30 pro still keeps up with the competition.
I love Huawei still and will continue to love them even though I don't prefer their phones anymore.

It seems that smartphone cameras are geared more to selfies, photos of food and other useless things non photographers do. Not everyone is blogging or vlogging.

I spent nearly € 850. Now I am realizing that I made a huge mistake. Please, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I am switching to iPhone. Again, please don’t waste your money for a worthless phone.

I own this phone, and was comparing it with indoor photos, of each zoom stop with the S22 and iPhone 14 max, and was surprised when the quality of zoom details was matched with those flagships (i would say even slightly better than S22), on the other hand, it is mediocre at outdoor photos, especially those in the forest with strong contrast when it really lacks colors, and feel washed. Zoom 5 is very handy, and can bring sharpness, but zoomed photos are a bit dark..colors are not vivid like in zoom 1.

I really don't like the new news feed on the p30 pro new edition. On my previous phone, the mate 20 Pro, I could choose to ban certain news publications from my feed and certain news topics.. For example 'ban stories about Megan Markle' was one I picked. The absence of this feature on the p30 pro makes the news feed redundant for me, so as a consequence I no longer use that feature of the phone.

I think for me my pain point is battery life of s10. I felt that s10 battery life for a day is too short to run on a single charge. I had to charge it twice a day.

Yeah it is durable.. I accidentally drop my phone on the floor about 3 or 4 feet high.. Still good and no problem at all.
