I have just acquired this phone after having the same LG flip phone for 15 years, a great little phone that only recently stopped receiving texts. OK, I found a issue with mine, the auto answer died on "hands free" yes verizon is giving me a new one, and even $60 credit, so I have no anger at them, just waiting for my new one to show. So I started thinking if the audio jack could be stuck, because the only way it works now is when I open the phone, so for the hell of it I plugged in a head set plug only to see if it was stuck, pulled it out, and damn now it works, for how long is doubtful but it works for now. I thought it might bail someone out reading this, perhaps you guys at kyocera could be nice, and send me a free charger for the 2 tabs in the back for a quick way to charge it. and fix your damn bug, cheap jacks, that fail, my phone is only 2 months old. I use that so I can drive, and not have to reach or touch my phone, and have a accident, I can just talk from my pocket. It pisses off the spammers too, when all they hear is my truck running, and road noise only, love it.

Have 2 of these phones on my Verizon post paid account, excellent choice! Only complaints are the battery life, must charge every 3 days max.

Just bought one yesterday. I was able to keep my $30 a month plan with it so I was really happy. I love the durability, even just for everyday use. One question though.... The volume for the alarm is really loud. It doesn't lower through the master volume. Do you know a way to turn it down? Thanks & thanks for sharing this video.

Hello, I enabled developer options and I am trying to sideload Signal and a Jabber app. I tried unpacking from Downloads folder and from DCIM, but it says "For your sercurity, your phone is not allowed to install unkown apps from this source". Are there other settings in developer options that need to be enabled? do I need to put the APK in a different place?

Cool . I miss the oldskool phones.
My first interpretation of this phone when I discovered it when someone compared it to the cat s 22 was that I immediately wrote it off. A few weeks later after thinking I came to terms this has the Japanese build quality, call quality on Verizon to other Verizon, and you can side load apps. Looks are subjective and I think they are comparable the cat may have that slightly. Glad I’m poor and this forced me to take my time and think.

Used to have a phone like that years ago, kind of miss them. We outta consider launching a campaign or petition to bring these types of phones back and absolute ban on smartphones which are pretty much becoming pcs/tablets rather than actual phones and it is time wasting as well as ridiculous. What do they cost in canada
iPhones 5s and lower no longer work Androids from 2013-2014? I think no longer work Basic phones that don't support 4G LTE or VOLTE won't work Phones that are 3G only won't work cause they are shutting down by the end of the year 2022 Flip phones are designed for calls which is why they work. Smartphones have calling as an after thought since they are basically mini computers
