I got the Moto Z Droid ,a Moto e6 plus and I also have a Moto e6 . I bought this phone yesterday because I just wanted to add a e4 to my Motorola smartphone collection. It's a decent phone.

Two years have past and it still works like new. Previous devices I've bought I replaced yearly. Hoping the e5 or e6 is just as good or better when I decide to finally replace this one ha!
Had mine for over a year and still really like it. It even has face unlock. (Boost mobile version- no fingerprint) It's still selling on their website in 2019 which shows its still in demand and actually the price has increased which is unheard of! I got mine for $50 😁

I don't think you've used the phone very much. I own one, and here are the problems: 1. It lags a lot. 2. The camera is useable in daylight but gives yellow tint, it is unusable at night. 3. The fingerprint sensor is garbage. Just a bit of dirty on it will make it stop working. 4. Only 16 gigs storage. You can't use SD card to install apps. I'm being harsh on a cheap phone, but these are the reasons it can't be my main device.

Actually the fingerprint is a button. Got this for my mom and i tried it for a week. It has the gestures too so the fingerprint is more like a track pad.
I believe there is a Pro mode for camera
lg stylo 3 is $99 and has a better screen, removeable battery, and a stylus.
I agree with the author of video. It's probably the best budget smartphone and I had to pick one up and use it as a backup from and I also use it to hook up to my computer via USB cable and run an app called Easytether that allows me to get internet access on my latop through my phone bypassing the cell companies cap on hotSpot/Tethering limit of data or 10gb on T-Mobile. So it's handy even if you pick it up to use for a moden for your older laptop tops or if you have a slow home internet line. Just my 2 cents...

You don't have to press the power button to wake the phone it will unlock by simply putting your finger on the sensor as long as it's activated
I bought this phone not expecting much at all but it is the best phone for the price hands down. Anything you find wrong with is nitpicking plain and simple

I have the Verizon version. If I could change a few things, it would be a NFC chip added, USB C port, 32gb of storage, and the option to unlock the bootloader. For 40 dollars it was a steal though.
Should I buy the LG Aristo or Moto E4 for the same price?

Um yeah you don't need a gyroscope to play Pokemon go. The reason it was not working in video is because his location was off. (It showed that right at the top of screen in the red bar) The only thing that will not work in Pokemon go is the battery saver which is in the settings of the app. That dims your screen when you turn the phone upside down. That is what the gyroscope is for. You can still play Pokemon go just fine. I have this phone and play Pokemon go daily.

I have one of these phones purchased from Walmart for StraightTalk. This is the WORST phone I have ever owned. It takes the phone anywhere from 2 to 5 seconds for the screen to turn on after touching the fingerprint reader (unlike what is seen in the review . I have also had a couple instances where the display brightness goes down to where it is almost unreadable. It happened in bright light with both adaptive brightness on and off. Luckily, I could hold it just right in the light to see the screen good enough to go into settings and turn the brightness back up. Lastly, and worse of all, there are select callers that call and I can hear them but they cannot hear me. It is repeatable with those callers and I recently verified the issue is in the phone by swapping SIM cards with my wife's phone. My wife's 3+ year old Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky which is dated is a much better, reliable phone than this one. I will never ever ever purchase another Motorola phone. Kevin, For consistency, it would be great if you ran the Geekbench against each phone reviewed though not sure if that is a true reflection of the phone performance given the Moto E numbers aren't bad for a basic phone but basic functionality is poor and not reflective of what is seen in this particular review based on my personal one year experience with this phone.
This phone sucks.. changes settings at will.. including ring volume, brightness setting so i can't see screen & shuts off willy nilly. Just can't live with that! Don't buy it.
Could someone please help! It may sound dumb but, how do I use backspace while dialing a phone number on the keypad? I have an e5 and I'm trying to give Verizon my new card number... "Press 2 now to enter your new number.. " I press 2. "now enter the number... " but "2" is still on screen, I need to get rid of it before entering my card number. The user manual doesn't cover this... anyone?

when I press up or down right side volume keys, two bar menus pop up. One is for volume and the other has a person icon. What's the person icon for? When I increase it or decrease, nothing happens. The icon looks like the accessibility person icon.

I got this, and it's really good! I am having 1 problem with videos, the back gound light keeps getting darker, then lighter. It can't seem to figure out what it wants to do. Is there something I can do to correct this?

Very disappointed. Neither Motorola nor this reviewer provides any technical information, like the frequency bands this phone works on, for example: is it GSM? LTE bands?, or the generation of the phone, is it G4, G5? not even G4?
