I am still using Android 10 in my Razr and am reluctant to uprage to 11 because of reports of issues concerning the performance and the functionality. Can anyone comment on wether you would recommend the update or not?

You forgot to mention that the Razer screen lifts away from the phone when folding and unfolding. This will allow dirt and debris to go under the screen.

Having a few setup issues working through but everything seems to be fine. The offset double crease is normal I guess. Testing everything else out. Been a motorola fan boy for quite awhile now.
I like the idea of these but my previous experience with Motorola lack of updates puts me off...

Glad your RAZR phones held up. I bought my RAZR 5g 2020 from Motorola directly and received it 3/25/22. My screen split in a straight line from hinge to hinge yesterday, but still worked. Today the OLED display started bleeding black from the center out and within 5 folds, it was done! Motorola claimed my 7-1/2 month old phone was caused by physical damage when I called them today (even though it's not) and priced me over $900 to replace the screen. You can buy this phone for $699 right now.
I'm looking to get a Razr 5G out of pure nostalgia, at first glance the razr 3 really has lost all the signs that it ever had something to do with the legendary razr V3. This is the coolest phone I've seen in a long time.

I just bought the 2020 razr this year for $300 used in very good condition aside from some outside scratches on the back cover. . I've always been a person who I will never own a phone that is both new and flagship I'll either go new mid-range for 3400 bucks or I'll buy a used one or two year old flagship for three or 400 bucks either way I don't see how any average person with average phone needs can justify paying four times the price to buy a flagship when it's new for $1,400 when you can get it at a quarter of that price 2 years later and it specs are still perfectly
I just got my Razor 5G yesterday after a really painful year with the Samsung Z flip 3 5G the only thing I wish was better was the battery, but it is not a deal breaker in fact I love this phone. I have no creaking hinge at all, and I love that there is no Gutter in the middle of the screen like the Z flip has. Only thing that could pull me away is if the new 2022 Razr goes on sale in the United States. As for the camera I am not that worried about that at all. Will never buy a Samsung again.

Hey Fisher, it would be great if you could do follow up review of Motorola RAZR 5G. I wonder hows the battery after all these years and what version of android are you running? I watched your review about the new RAZR 2022 but I dont like the phone. Too wide, the screen is 144hz - pleasent for eyes but not for the battery, cpu is 8gen 1 if I remember, which likes eating the battery and battery itself increased to 3500, good increase but for 144hz screen and hungry cpu probably wont last longer then the previos RAZR with 765G processsor.
Bought one off t-mobile for just under 1k, had an rma done as it would not carrier unlock. Gold version, still going strong, I use the external display religiously. I used a carbon fiber plate on the glass side and a rubber case on the plastic side from 2 different cases after my heart broke when I saw your glass on your silver unit break. still holds a charge for a day, but I only charge to 90%.

Well, the Razr 5G 2022 just released... and it's not good. No more chin, no more personality. Unfolded it looks ugly as anything with a weirdly wide and bulbous screen shape and hideous plastic bezels. Honestly it looks more like a knockoff Z-Flip copy than an actual Moto Razr. Very disappointing.
its good as secondary phone. when u at work or ur busy hours this phone doesn't encourage u to use phone .Also helps in trips, hikes journey while ur primary busy shooting and died on u for payments and connectivity
I've had a Razr 5g for 5 months now and it's actually better than I thought it might be.
Knit picking the only 2 complaints I have is you can't change the size of the apps you're using on the split screen. So if I have like YT up and IE for example I can't make one larger or smaller, they both equally always take up half the screen.
The other one is I can't find any way to adjust the flashlight setting. Most phones I can always make it brighter but on the Razr I can't find any way to change this setting. So meh, I really like this phone.

Samsung has not 256 gb in base model. No useful outter screen. Picture are good for normal user. The 765 works very vell in motorola.

As someone who sells a lot of different devices and personally uses 4 devices work work and businesses, I love these foldable devices. No more bending down and having my phones poke my side waist when bending down. The feel comfortable. I find myself using the zFlip way more than my zFold. I am going to buy this Moto Razr in a few days. If it's the same size closed as my zflip, it's gonna be great.

From fall 2015 to spring 2018 I had a beautiful red Moto Droid Mini. I still remember the awesome start-up sequence it had when it spoke in it's Cybertronian voice and Live Action Transformers sound. It was a little shiny red gem so I was upset when I feel on wet and torn up sidewalk.
In fall 2018, I finally got a replacement and my current phone being a black Moto G6 and it certainly took me quite a while to get used to a much larger screen but now I doubt I could go back to anything that much smaller. Unfortunately, it appears either the audio jack or the charging port (probably both because they're made that way on purpose) have been having trouble at seemingly every moment so far this year and I just got this awesome Pokéball leather case just 2 years ago. But I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't curious in 2019 when I heard that there was this new Smart Flip Phone from Motorola. So I've been waiting for a better upgraded version to be released and thankfully it appears that this one's just in time for my line to qualify for a discounted upgrade. And I'm honestly quite shocked that this new one is almost the same price as the original. I can see the new Motorola Razr 5G completely eclipsing the original 1st Gen Razr because why would anyone get the original one when the 2nd Razr is just superior and at a just slightly higher price? I guess I'll have to think about it.
Seeing the trends toward foldables, I'd decided to make the Razr 5G my daily. Picked one up on Mercari, unlocked and like new for $550 with a 2 year accidental warranty👍The icing on the cake and what I do with all my older tech is sell it online to offset my purchases. After selling my S8 Active, the Razr was all in under $400! At that price point, well "Hello Moto" 😊

My personal advice, do not buy this mobile as the screen peels off and you can see a air bubble in between the screen layer within 2 months which Motorola replaced and gave me a new one and the second mobile also got the same defect which Motorola again gave me a replacement. You can research on the Internet and you will find the same defect happening with moto razr with many users so wouldn’t suggest anyone wasting their money
My personal advice do not buy this moto razr mobile as it a complete piece of crap. The mobile is completely defective and within 2 months of use you will see air bubbles appearing within the screen and the area becomes non responsive to touch. It’s a waste of money so do not buy it. I have bought the phone and sent it back to Motorola for replacement twice (not once but twice) and still they do not accept it’s their defective product
Talking about bad battery life. My spare phone the axon m with dual screens has terrible battery life you can just watch it fly down.
Is there any issues with the hinge? Ive seen stuff about the Samsung flip getting creases on the place where the hinge is. Is it the same there?
