Dude, it's TOO EXPENSIVE. I'm trying to "justify" the purchase price, but the device just doesn't do it for me. KUDOS to Samsung on the phone and design but realistically, it's just an additional screen and some plastic.

I hear you pal. As you were getting at, I think whether it's right is subjective as to the usage; if one is an office user, one could hook it up. I imagine plenty are impatient for that or may be shocked they need to do this again with how modern phones have made low battery a thing of the past. As said, it is also a new technology and also, I'd say, for business people. Phone instead of clunky laptop, doing things on the fly. If in the office or at home, one can also use the proper computer or laptop instead. Video calling on the train, emails in the taxi, it's very convenient, especially if one makes a dock to put it in and automatically charge. It seems a rediculously amazing phone, though disappointing with inevitable dust bunnies and sand. It's new and innovative, leading the way as Samsung is reputed to do, but it's already got the bells and whistles with few things in my eyes, at least, to work on as essential-like battery life or dust ingress :)

Screw that here is my 2 year review. We are now in the future and it is 2022. I love my fold z 2 but I want to retire her because the novelty oh opening the screen to an awesome mini tablet is great but over, I travel a lot and i hate babying the phone as I do. Its not the 3 or 4 so you cannot get it wet you cant get sand near it you cant even just let fog moisture near it, it sucks as a phone for a person who loves hiking and chilling at the beach and traveling. I bought Samsung s9 as a backup phone to use at the beach and those occasions and the back up phone just made me realize instead of switching back and forth between everyday phone and adventure phone its time to just retire folding phone get a Real everyday phone and retire the S9 as back up. So now I am at the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. Do you want to know why so far in the future i still got a 2020 phone? Because phones in the future don't allow for Expandable memory and as person with tons of movies and games i need a phone at least with 500 to 1TB of memory and the 20 Ultra is the last in the Samsung family that allows for expandable memory.

+The Tech Chap I have had my Galaxy Z Fold2 for a lil over a year and I have had no issues with the hardware of the phone. No issues with the hinge, or the Infinity Flex. I just hate it doesn't have the same camera setup as the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra5G.

Don't waste your money, 3 months in and the screen has gone black and lifted from just opening and closing. Samsung screen repair cost $800 plus Aud this phone has not been dropped at all either it was babied and fighting samsung to get it covered under warranty . Also if in Australia the phone shops won't offer insurance and they don't tell you about the Samsung care, which has to be purchased within 28 days. A big NO from me

Mi concern... I bought mine and decided to go deep in my wallet and try it because it looked appealing. Well after this UNFINISHED product showed up I've decided after 2 days sent it back. Why? just for simple reasons, as soon as you go thru the unboxing there are some intense warnings about the phone NOT having IP rating, and literally this phone will break and treat it like is a million dollar Ferrari; and do not remove plastic screens it will void your warranty if damaged after that, they state they will install the screen cover if you wish only one time but you need to send it back and pay for shipping and be without the phone until you get it back. The phone is heavy and unpractical, specially for people with vision problems, the resolution is good but is hard to read when closed. Opening the device mechanism is great compared to first Gen but when closed is bulky and unconventional, and remember this phone will need its own space in your pockets because it can be near coins, credit cards or any type of dust and sand. Yes people will get amazed for the factor of the phone, like the same way people see the Hummer owners not because of jealous, oh no is because is an ugly phone. Is like gluing two iPnone 6's or a tape between them and voila!. Within 2 days I was worry if phone was sleeping well, LOL; well is a 2K phone. After checking with T-Mobile insurance for this phone is $25 per month includes damage, accidental and theft is crazy expensive that is another $300 and repairs are NOT free there are deductibles. And lastly there is NO case whatsoever YET that will protect this phone and make it even bulkier. My condense point and personal view. WE are paying for their developing giving us the unfinished product so they can get money and find from us what sucks about it and implement new ideas and see what happens. Is it worth?? NOT my humble opinion.

I purchased my Z Fold 2 last week. Used it for 7 days and just mailed it back to Verizon. No problem with the phone, I just found it hard to use as my daily driver. I continually accidently activated the unlock button. Cases are currently unavailable to help protect a $2000 phone. I was terrified to carry it outside the house. I also have a Note 20 Ultra and just feel it's the better of the two for daily use. Also the lack of expandable storage turned out the be a hinder, but I knew that going in. I think it's an awesome device but I'll stick with the Note 20 for the time being.
