Seems Sansung is holding back on improvements. What happened to the note without beveled edges? Square as a noot should be. No memory card slot? No 3.5 plug for headphone? And getting more expensive? Pittysuch a powerful corporation is stingy out of fear of lacking technology.

I mean the phone is lovely but it sucks at gaming and it's touch get slow as hell. But I still love it, it work lovely for daily life.

I got the A53 to replace a Huawei P20PRO that I felt was getting old, my wife has the A52S and it seemed a good phone so I went for the A53 as it was supposed to be slightly better. All I can say is the A53 seems a step down from my ageing P20PRO, the camera is noticeably worse than the P20PRO and seems to be worse than my wife A52S. We are both on the same networks and my wife regularly has data connection on her A52, but not on my A53 which doesn't make any sense. The fingerprint reader is dire and only works about 50% of the time, face recognition hardly ever works and I have to resort to pressing the power button. Overall the phone does seem a bit sluggish opening apps and for general usage, maybe I was expecting too much from a mid range phone.
I am switching from an lg stylo 6 can someone be kind enough to let me know if ill be great with the switch with specifics and such. I would really appreciate it! also i dont play games on my phone. mostly focusing on netflix and such.
I have the a51 5g and liked it so I've upgraded to the a53 5g. The only difference I can find is the a53 5g has no headphone jack and no charger comes with it. Otherwise everything else is the same as a51 5g. Both phones work great. 🤷‍♀️

Bought the A53 after seeing reviews on the Web and I want to say for the price I paid 500 usd, its a shitty phone. Battery life is sucky after a year of usage. lags when gaming. Everything else works but why pay $500usd my older xiaomi poco works way better.
Too notch reviews....you have been hitting on all the points that a conscious person like me wants to know about a phone....it's not about specs or tier...but about real world usage of a smartphone....please keep doing what you are doing.

Even when I was about to buy it Online from Samsung it says that 5g networks with Tmobile may not be able to work. Will there be someone from PR or EU or with knowledge that can guide me?
whole video spent comparing to other phones I don't know nor care about. Dont give relative brightness comparisons, for example, tell me how many nits brightness it has, then add on nits of other models if you want for context. Really unhelpful video for those who aren't phone enthusiasts, like most of the A53 target customers I'd wager.

My Samsung A53 5G was well worth the £249 that I paid for it on Prime day. It works for me as a gaming phone. I played Blades and saw good details in dark caves due to its HDR display.
A bit of a step down from A52. I use Bluetooth 24/7 but there are times when an aux is the only option. Another one bites the dust 😮‍💨
Midrange phones are a better buy than super expensive flagship phones.

It's perfect to occupy yourself when you aren't rehearsing. We like it as best value for a money, it's like a phone for a many. You aren't thinking about getting this one after a walk if you have a HP notebook. I think industry lost it's 5 inch standard, that's pity and there are nothing else, but more expensive iphone models in the market. You probably arent thinking about having a mobile streaming media station before looting and starting a game .

Yeah you lost me when you said there's no earphone jack I'mma buy the A52 then.
All is good with A53 worthevery penny but only problem with this handset is the sim slot. Most of the time the sim get stuck inside and we had to visit the service center to get it removed.
Heating issue
When I try to forward a text message. it doesn't work on my A53. Suggestions? Also, why does the clock in the center of the display need to be refreshed when you pick up the phone? The clock in the top left corner stays current, but the center clock doesn't. That's weird.

They ask more money for that 5G, but in reality 5G is only in few places and most of times it works like a poop. ... i live in country side of eastern europe, so sometimes i don't even have 4G or other G's, only H+. So completely no use for 5G.

My son damaged his Pixel 2XL's USB C port by using a dongle to allow normal earphones to be used which put stress on his connector. He should have done what I have done with my new A53 5G and bought USB C earphones. It was well worth the £249 that I paid for it on Prime day. It works for me as a gaming phone.
