I see in the future when the screen folding technology is more perfected (and great price point) that tablets will become obsolete. The size of a 7" smart phone could 3 to 4 times unfold to size of a tablet. When that day comes...I will be in line for that!🎇😲😁

Great review,, I have about a year with mine and this phone is awesome, still my favorite. This phone is water resistant but can not be submerged in water according to the manual, but yesterday I jump in the pool with it by mistake, after a few hours of panic guess what, phone still alive and running like a champ...I love this phone one of the best investments I've ever done so far 😃. I don't think is a good idea to swim with it!

I love smaller phones and would rather have this than larger phones, however battery life is real important and id rather stick to my larger phone until we have atleast 4000mah battery in the flip phone

Had a Samsung flip. When I purchased it 12 months ago, I noticed 2 indentations in the screen one top left and one bottom left, because the phone worked perfectly and the dents weren't noticeable, I did not worry about them. 11 months after purchasing the screen began to lift at the fold. I thought it was not a problem it will be covered under warranty. "NO, IT WAS NOT". When I took it to Samsung they said that due to those 2 indentations it was not covered under warranty. I have since come across 3 others who have had the same problem with screen lifting and Samsung have found some excuse not to cover the warranty. My advice STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG

Mine Flip 3 is about 14 months old. Recently the flex mode stopped working (it doesn't recognizes that my phone is in bend position). I have changed the outer plastic protection on screen twice (it starts tearing from center exactly in 6 months). Battery life is horrible. I need to charge it 2-3 times a day. Other than that its a great phone. Display is great. Decent camera. Got some updates for outer display, but it needs more widgets. I think it has lot more potential.
So I like this phone alot. However Samsung did not let anyone know about the wear and tear of the screens "screen protector". After about a year I started to see the crease in the middle where the phone flips. I thought it was a screen protector, but it's not, it's the actual screen/led. I touched it and bow has a ink looking spot at the top of my phone. I went to Samsung and they said it will cost me about $500 or so to replace. I did t get the insurance cause I figured it's a flip, so I didn't get insurance. Samsung dropped the ball on letting consumers know about changing the "screen protector". That's something they will have to do not the consumer. Smh. They suck!!!!
The battery was not a problem for me, but I don't stay glued to the phone either. I love that this fit well in my pocket. The downfall - Today was 1 year plus three days since purchase and startup. My warranty was 1 year. 3. damn. days. after it runs out, the screen decides to crap out. From the hinge up (top half) is unuseable and won't allow any touch/contact.. I can see what's on the upper half but cannot do anything. I was able to save everything and clear the phone but now cannot even reset it because I can't log in using the top half. So Mad!! I loved it but now it's a $1000 brick! No folders for me again unless it's a late 90's Nokia.
I had a chance to try out this phone. I was previously skeptical since first seeing the Galaxy Fold 1 release. But this phone really surprises me being just a fun phone to have. the bend doesn't really affect the viewing experience unless using a low backlight. Though my biggest gripe is that the battery life is pretty poor. I was getting an estimated 4-7 hours with usage
I have Flip 4 and I hold it same as you do. When I walk or just stand I like the way it is in my hand. I absolutely love it.

Pixel fail in the middle of my screen after 8 months and because I dropped it from a low height after the pixel fail and cracked the corner of the back glass Samsung have welched on their warranty responsibility. I am buying an iPhone now. Not because I want an iPhone per se, but I'll be damned if I ever give one more red cent to Samsung.

I got mine about a year ago and still rock's one of my favorite phones ever, 🤔 maybe the only one. ( The phone is water resistant but can not be submerged in water according to the instructions manual) Yesterday I forgot that I had the phone on my pocket and without thinking I jumped in the pool, after my 2nd swim I realized that I had the phone with me.....oooo man 😏 my first thought was my contacts, my lovely Flip is ruin, but incredibly when I open it the phone started working strange but after a few dryes, taking out the sim card and a few hours of panic phone is working like new. Now I consider this phone my No. 1 😓.

4 month update on mine, save your money it's a cool concept but can't even close the phone anymore...the phones been in a case since I purchased it, never dropped it too hard and no wear and tear just the screen protector peeling a bit where the hinges are. The screen I guess has taken on some heavy damage because at first I had a greenish hue appear on it, it went away after messing around with it but now my brightness has suddenly failed...it just began lowering to where I could barely see it and had to kind of bend the phone in the opposite direction to get it where I can see it on FULL brightness how I would normally, did I mention it no longer folds? It does but I literally have to force it because it's jammed and the sound you hear is what sounds like a screen breaking or a phone breaking when you fold it, once its closed if doesn't fully close it stays slightly open, crazy this thing only lasted 4 months yet they wanna charge 1200 for it, I got mine on sale for $800 but still that's steep for a phone that didn't even last half the year
