I've got the older bison pro...recommended by a good friend who bought 2 regular bisons (for availability security). This phones are TOUGH.. I thought the speaker was a lanyard loop..and damaged the speaker BUT, I did find a replacement speaker on amazon.. I swear by these. I'm buying this one first, THEN tackling the repair. Thank you for mentioning the update part.Umidigi is bad,sadly on the update part,they keep poping phones out like crazy.I have the A11 pro max,not a bad budget phone,but never seen a update,screen when black,brand new,they are cheap,thats for sure.Like they say,You get what you pay for,and in this case is true.

As for this phone in particular, I prefer the design of this one, but the speaker on the phone from the last video (the AGM H6 Pro) is pretty tempting 🤣

I have had the Bison pro 2 for 1 week now and I find the phone screen too jumpy when you are not even using the phone. you have to watch how you pick up the phone because of the side buttons can turn on features on you are not using .. I bought this phone for storage capacity.

I am very unhappy with Umidigi. Though the Umidigi Bison x10 boasts incredible specs for a decent price, it was the macro 5 mp features that ultimately swayed me to choose the Umidigi Bison x10. But sadly this feature has been a huge disappointment. I bought a Umidigi Bison X10 5 months ago because of all the good reviews. By now we know 5-star reviews are mostly paid for or fabricated. Besides the X10 disappointing camera features, I also experience problems with the sound and most recently the failure of the fingerprint sensor unit. When I researched online, I discovered that this is a common occurrence. The warranty is also a big turn-off. Clearly, there is a problem with BISON X10 and they should recall the whole series. The failure of sensors and other parts on new phones is ridiculous. It is better to have a less rigid phone and drop it than to have a rigid phone that can not function under normal use. Though Umidigi offers a ONE-year warranty they settle with the warranty offered by their resellers instead. Talk about getting knocked off by Umidigi and friends. On the scale of rip-offs, this is a huge 10X fail.

The biggest issue with these rugged smartphones to me is how well they work with your provider. Of course you get an unlocked phone so next question is compatibility. I’m in USA -pre paid att. I’m not savvy with all the band and frequencies of the GSM providers. I’ve been looking for a while for the best option for a rugged phone under 300 above average camera a must. If I don’t shatter the screen, water gets it so durability there. Only need 4g. The Bison appears to fit the bill until I read the customer reviews. Not good. But idk. Any ideas? Just watched a review and you can not hear anything only if you have a Bluetooth speaker...JUNK! Also all the buttons on the side? Wow those will always be pressed by accident.
I got the GT here. Amazing phone for some people who are really about utility. THE BIG FLAW which can be a deal-breaker is the two ''customizable'' buttons that open the camera/emergency service/Zelle. they actuate just by leaning the phone on its edge. Some of the lightest actuation force needed I've ever seen which is a problem in this case.
I realized how much of an issue it was when I complained for the first time to a friend about the camera and Zelle always popping up without a true way built in to use those buttons without deactivating the app associated with it rendering them useless.
I quickly found the answer by downloading a key remapper app on the play store. Now it Must be a quick double-tap to open the underwater camera and the zelle ptt button is just a blank input I use for ptt on discord or jump on Genshin impact. (basically, configure it in-app).
How they half-baked some features as simple as a button without any way to chose what it does out of the box is a red flag from umidigi to me. I won't recommend this phone to any users who don't know how to work around those sorts of things but now that it's sorted out, it's an amazing phone.

I have had 2 Umidigis, the biggest issue is that after 6 months you do not get any updates. My Power3 has the latest update with the Android security patch dated August 2020. Unfortunate.

So fair warning for anyone wanting to buy this phone: you know your micro SD card that you probably saved gigs upon gigs upon gigs of photos and videos on? The Umidigi Bison will prompt you to completely reformat it before it will even consider eating it. The PPT button, as I and others stated earlier, was supposed to be remappable and it is not. The battery, an alleged 5000mAh, meaning it ought to not require charging for about 36 to 60 hours (?) was already at 15% after 12 hours off the charger. There's also some responsive issues, where it would just stop scrolling, but my phone as a whole was not frozen, because I could still swipe from the top to check out notifications and whatnot. The talk to text option would just stop listening after a few seconds, making using it effectively impossible. It's really too bad that they decided to come out the gate, a new company, being misleading like this. Suffice it to say, I've already requested a refund and am returning it back to Amazon today.

Good review, but how long did you test it. I just bought it today as it has the key features I am looking for: dual sim (support 3G or 4G at the same time), Good size RAM of 6GB, and 128GB memory, shock and water proof, hard case, so these are what I was looking for, but after reading some negative comments, I am worried now, fingers crossed, I know that some items will have manufacture faults but I hope it is in few items and not in general production of the units, I did read about the company and it seems ok, they have been for a while, so fingers crossed!

Do not mislead the people!! The phone may be good! Although in the first version there were problems with the buggy screen (The screen hung and only saved shutting down through a physical button)! Therefore, there were a lot of marriages! I also had them! And how the people were divorced with the shipment and before the order that was on June 27! They don't send it to anyone for two months! And they beg you not to write bad reviews! And then they didn't beg, but they score and just ignore and don't respond to your SMS on aliexpress. By email, too, Ingor! You don't send these phones! Or every other time! To whom I want that and I send! The service is on top in quotes!! I got on two phones with them! Bison 2 // Everyone has the right to decide for himself! Where to risk!
It's nice to see hands on videos and reviews coming out for this phone. Just a little point of correction; the barometer measures air pressure—not temperature. It would be fantastic if you did an in-depth review after some period like say, two weeks to mention about things like signal/reception, battery life for various use cases, thermal management during gaming sessions, gps/navigation, NFC/Google pay, etc. but overall, good video.
